What are Healing Circles?
RESET MOM Healing Circles are weekly, peer-led spaces for Black girls, Black women, and FLINTA* individuals navigating eating disorders and disordered eating. They create a consistent environment for support, connection, and care beyond clinical systems.
How the circles work
The circles take place every week and alternate between in-person and online sessions. In-person gatherings focus on embodied connection and shared presence. Online sessions offer accessibility and continuity. This rhythm supports both grounding and flexibility.
Why they exist
RESET MOM created Healing Circles in response to a clear gap in Germany. Many people do not find culturally competent or accessible support for eating disorders. Mainstream systems often overlook lived experiences and cultural realities. Healing Circles address this by centering community, representation, and shared understanding.
What to expect
Healing Circles center safety, listening, and mutual care. Participants can show up as they are, without pressure to explain or perform. Sharing is welcome, but not required. Silence, reflection, and presence are also forms of participation.
These spaces are not therapy. They do not replace clinical support. Instead, they offer a community-based layer of care. The focus is on connection, regulation, and being witnessed.
A collective approach to healing
Healing does not happen in isolation. Eating disorders and disordered eating connect to social, cultural, and systemic realities. Healing Circles bring people together to rebuild trust, both within the body and in community.
